The KeeWahSheena Indian Guides is a group of Riverside fathers and sons that meet for a few hours each month in a fun atmosphere that promotes spiritual growth, leadership, communication skills, bonding, learning and togetherness.
Who Are We?
Fathers and Sons from Riverside School District 96 and Saint Mary's School, Riverside, Illinois. Boys (and their Dads) from K-5th grade at Ames, Blythe Park, Cental, Hollywood and Saint Mary's or who live in the boundries of the district and attend other schools are welcome to participate.
What Are We?
The KeeWahSheena Tribe is the Riverside Chapter of the Prairie Trail Federation Indian Guides Program, sponsored and sanctioned by the Rich Port/Greater LaGrange YMCA of LaGrange, Illinois.
When and Where Do We Meet?
We typically meet one Thursday a month from 6:30 – 8:00 during the school year at the Riverside Scout Cabin plus many local planned events including: laser tag, bowling, swimming, batting cages and others activities. There are three campouts a year at YMCA camps in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Indiana plus many other events sponsored by the Prairie Trail Federation.

July 14, 2010 - KeeWahSheena tops in Honor Points
KeeWahSheena was number one in honor points reporting for the 2009-2010 season with 2350 total points (tied
for first place with two other tribes). 1600 points are required to be an honor tribe. The number of tribal points
indicates the level of activity within the tribe - way to go KeeWahSheena.
Apr. 08, 2010 - New Chief and Treasurer for the 2010-11 season
A new Big Chief and a new Treasurer - Wampum Chief have been announced for next season - a big HOW
HOW and thanks to the two of them for volunteering.
Feb. 01, 2010 - KeeWahSheena participates in Haiti Relief effort
The tribe collected a modest donation in cash and goods from members to aid earthquake victims in Haiti.
The goods collected were delivered, via the federation, to the Haitian Congress to Fortify Haiti.
